Challenge
Astorino's goal was to differentiate the firm both regionally and nationally through a proactive branding, marketing and public relations campaign to accelerate growth.
Strategy
D+CO positioned Astorino as the firm with the talent, process and ideas to design and implement strategic space.
D+CO worked with Astorino to develop a deep understanding of its industry, markets, business strategies and staff. D+CO also performed expansion studies and assessments, to develop action plans for geographic growth. D+CO identified and developed the Astorino brand and designed and produced a new identity, stationery and high-end collateral materials. D+CO also implemented a public relations bureau within Astorino to promote proactive public and media relations. Corporate and market segment trade advertising was also created and placed.
Results
D+CO introduced Astorino to a unique research protocol that is driving the design process of the new $420 million Children’s Hospital. This protocol enables clients and other key stakeholders to articulate their deepest thoughts and feelings about what they want from a building space and experience. These insights are then translated into the design strategy. This method has now been integrated into Astorino’s overall approach to design.
D+CO has differentiated Astorino by developing a brand position for this new design process that we named Strategic Space Design.
The suite of collateral materials created by D+CO was flexibly designed, enabling Astorino to individually address and customize materials for presentations to its new target market segments.
The communication plan developed by D+CO defined tactical recommendations that have resulted not only in more qualified leads, but also invitations to speak at major national tradeshows. This has resulted in Astorino receiving more consequential coverage in important trade publications.
