Challenge
The National Aviary is a valuable regional asset that is poised to become one of the region’s leading cultural attractions. Since its privatization and subsequent national designation, the National Aviary has enjoyed increased attendance and public awareness. However, outdated perceptions about the Aviary were still prevalent and it was not recognized as a top tier destination, let alone a national institution. With plans for a major expansion that includes the Immersion Theater, and a recently announced Capital Campaign, the Aviary is recasting and repositioning the National Aviary brand.
Strategy
Dymun + Company worked closely with the Aviary to develop a new logo for the launch of the Capital Campaign and to rebrand the National Aviary as an important institution and valuable regional asset. A print advertising and radio underwriting campaign helped to enhance perceptions and convey new changes at the Aviary.
Results
Preliminary feedback is highly positive. The logo and the advertising have created a new, higher profile among key audiences.
